ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

My approach to therapy is one based in collaboration with you to fit your unique situation and preferences. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, which is a fancy way of saying I don't follow one "type" of therapeutic method but instead pull from a variety, based on your circumstances. In my experience working in a variety of community mental health settings, I've found that an approach to therapy that is casual, less rigid, and more based in human-to-human connection is most effective.

I firmly believe that you know yourself better than anyone else. While I will challenge you to heal by exploring some uncomfortable feelings to understand their underlying purpose (because all emotions serve a purpose — even the tough ones!), I will never push you to address things you are genuinely not ready to.

Modalities: Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Strengths-Focused Therapy, The Gottman Method.

Specialities: Addictions (alcohol, drugs, other substances, and gambling); Anxiety, panic, or chronic stress; Career exploration and burnout; Couples counselling; Depression; Life transitions; Identity exploration or self-esteem concerns; Perinatal mental health (pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood challenges).

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

I offer a client-centered, trauma-informed approach that honors each person’s unique story and pace. My work is grounded in compassion, authenticity, and respect; meeting you exactly where you are. Together, we create a safe and supportive space to explore challenges, foster healing, and build on your strengths.

I believe healing happens when we can gently reconnect with ourselves, both mind and body. Stress and trauma often live in the body, showing up as tension, disconnection, or overwhelm. Through a compassionate, body-based approach, I help clients bring awareness to what their bodies are communicating and discover new ways to feel grounded, connected, and present.

My goal is to offer a warm, collaborative space where healing and growth can naturally take root – a place where you can feel seen, heard, and supported as you move toward greater balance, self-understanding, and well-being.

Modalities: Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems, Attachment-Based Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Trauma-Centered Psychotherapy Techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Practices, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing

Specialties: Anxiety; Depression; Life transitions; Stress management; Crisis Intervention; Concurrent Disorders (Addictions and Mental Health); Perinatal Mental Health (including fertility and loss, reproductive trauma); Women’s Health
