Package FAQ
1. When should I have the appointments?
We recommend coming in for your individual sessions once during your second trimester and once toward the end of pregnancy (around 35 weeks). The couples session should happen between the two of these.
2. Why should I come during pregnancy instead of after?
Starting therapy before baby arrives helps you feel grounded and supported. It can also make the early postpartum months feel less overwhelming and give you confidence in navigating the changes ahead. Essentially, it's more of a preventative effort to catch any "red flags" earlier.
3. Do I have to pay for the three sessions all at once?
Nope! You'll get a 25% discount on these three sessions, each time you come.
4. What if I don't have time to get them all in before baby is born?
That's okay! We'll move forward with appointments at full price (if you need them!). There is no back charge for not completing the three appointments. We just want to support people through the pregnancy & childbirth process.
5. What if I don't have a spouse for the couples therapy session?
That's okay! We recommend bringing in someone who will be a key support for you during your "couples therapy" session. This will just shift the focus of that session to be more on how they can support you through this transition. If you don't have anyone you feel comfortable doing this with, you'll get the third 50-minute individual session with the 25% discount.
6. What will be the focus of the sessions?
Session 1 (Individual Session) — getting to know you, your support system, and what you're like at baseline. Answering questions like:
-
What are you like when you're feeling good?
-
What habits help you feel this way?
-
Who are your support people?
